20. března 1982 se na sněmovišti Devětsil konal první zábřežský sněm kmene Čerokí, kterého jsem měl to štěstí se účastnit a dokonce zde požádat o svá první 4 orlí pera, která mi byla udělena tehdejším vedoucím oddílu Kilim. Ale co bylo překvapující, že se zde již objevují první roucha a to hned dvě – Racek z družiny Lišek a Kili – vedoucí oddílu a kmene.
To, že se to s rouchy v zábřežském kmeni myslelo vážně, dokazuje hned první tábor kmene Čerokí Zábřeh, který se uskutečnil na tradičním místě v Horních Studénkách, (foto z tábora). Tam už roucho měl skoro každý bojovník a mnohé roucha byla také zaznamenána v první knize rouch, kterou ohnivci kmene založili 22.12.1982 v 14.15, jak poznamenal Mirek Hanuš- Mikenopa.
Je to až k nevíře, že se za více jak 30 let, podařilo v Zábřehu vytvořit, na 200 rouch a mnohé z počátků této tradice se dochovaly do dnešních dnů. Až budete tvořit své roucho, tak společně s ohnivci myslete na odkaz předešlých generací hochů a dívek, kteří tuto tradici poponesli, zase o kousek dál.
