Po stopách Eskymo Welzla / In the footsteps of Eskymo Welzl

Nadešla dlouho očekávaná výprava. Každoročně vyrážíme na dobrodružnou výpravu na základnu Dálava, na Šumavě. Letošní ročník je největším zážitkem pro naše nejmladší a nejmenší členy.
Cesta vlakem a dvě cesty autobusem, přinesli pro bratry a sestry nevšední zpestření, vždyť mnozí takto ještě nikdy necestovali.
Pouť na základnu už probíhala za tmy, inu na Šumavě se stmívá brzy.
A abychom se nebáli Vlků a jiné zdejší zvířeny, luštila se cestou šifrovaná zpráva, jenž nás seznámila, se životopisem cestovatele Eskymo Welzla.
Páteční večer v příjemně vytopené chatě spolu s dalšími hlídkami z Čech, proběhl docela rychle a končil před novým dnem. Seznamovací hry, povídání o Eskymovi a mnoho dalšího.
Sobotní ranní rozcvička v čerstvě napadaném sněhu na boso, byla dobrým novým zážitkem pro nemladší děti z hlídek. V dopoledním programu se připravujeme na velké odpolední putování na způsob polárníků. A po obědní pauze to přišlo, jednotlivé družiny složené z hlídek vyrazily podle mapy na místo určení, aby vyzvedli uhlí, ulovily rybu a tu rybu si také ke svačině usmažily. V hustém sněžení kde na otevřené pláni vál silný vítr, se všichni snažily udržet směr, který našli na mapě.
A postupně nalezli ukryté uhlí, pak v řece ulovily předem připravenou rybu a chvilku zápolily s hlavolamem dřívkáč. Složit jej z pěti plechových dílů, bylo pro některé družiny dost svízelné.
Následné usmažení ryby na dřevěném uhlí, už bylo dílem okamžiku. A jak byla chutná.
Sobotní večerní posezení v chatě, vyplnilo zpívání, slovo z písma, film o Welzlovi a několik her. Kdo chtěl, mohl po promítání navštívit místní saunu a osvěžit se pak v řece.
Nedělní dopolední čas byl opět cestovní, napřed se uklidila chata, vytvořila se společná fotka a pak už jen cestujeme domu do Příbrami.
A co příští rok? Už se opět na Šumavu těšíme.

In the footsteps of Eskymo Welzl.

The long-awaited expedition has arrived. Every year we set out on an adventurous expedition to the Dálava base in Sumava. This year is the greatest experience for our youngest and youngest members.
The train journey and the two bus journeys brought extraordinary variety to the brothers and sisters, as many had never traveled like this before.
The pilgrimage to the base was already going on in the dark, otherwise it is getting dark in Sumava soon.
And in order not to be afraid of Wolves and other local animals, an encrypted message was introduced along the way, which introduced us to the biography of the traveler Eskymo Welzl.
Friday night in a pleasantly heated cottage, together with other patrols from the Czech Republic, took place quite quickly and ended before the new day. Dating games, talking about Eskimo and much more.
Saturday morning warm-up in freshly fallen snow on the barefoot was a good new experience for the youngest children from the patrols. In the morning program, we are preparing for a big afternoon journey in the manner of polar explorers. And after the lunch break, it came, individual patrols made up of patrols went to the destination according to the map to pick up coal, catch fish and fry the fish for snacks. In the heavy snowfall where a strong wind blew on the open plain, everyone tried to keep the direction they had found on the map.
And gradually they found hidden coals, then they caught a pre-prepared fish in the river and struggled for a while with a woodpecker. Assembling it from five sheet metal parts was quite difficult for some companies.
The subsequent frying of the fish on charcoal was a matter of moments. And how tasty it was.
Saturday night’s sitting in the cottage was filled with singing, a word from the script, a film about Welzl and several games. If you wanted, you could visit the local sauna after the screening and then refresh yourself in the river.
Sunday morning time was travel again, first the cottage was cleaned, a joint photo was created and then we just travel home to Pribram.
And what about next year? We are looking forward to Sumava again.
